SECRETS formed in January 2011 after leaving previous band A City Serene. The band was signed to Velocity/Rise Records in the Spring of 2011 and for good reason. Their debut album, The Ascent, was released on January 17, 2012. They then recorded demos for "The Oath", "Somewhere in Hiding", "40 Below" a few months later they hit the studio to record theu full length album. The Ascent came out in January 2012, soon after that they released a video for their single "Somewhere in Hiding" and a video for "Blindside". Halfway through the Scream it Like You Mean It Tour, the bassist, Marc Koch, left the band to attend college. They currently do not have a permanent replacement.
I FUCKING LOVE THIS BAND. They are so heavy and so poetic its great. Every song off this 11 track album is spine-tingling and epic. Their lyrics are so amazing and they really get their message across. And that message is if you leave me, you can go fuck yourself. I cannot wait to see these guys live on the Talk Your Shit. We'll Give You a Reason Tour. The energy in that venue is going to be off the charts.
